- The CFexpress cards with a model number ending in “NN” are tested and approved for use. The Z6III does not support the CFexpress cards with a model number ending in “IN

- CFexpress or XQD cards with a maximum data transfer rate of at least 250 MB/s are recommended for high-speed frame capture.

- CFexpress or XQD cards with a maximum data transfer rate of at least 45 MB/s  (300×)  are recommended for video recording and playback. CFexpress or XQD cards with a maximum data transfer rate of at least 250 MB/s are recommended for recording and playback of videos with a high frame size or rate. Slower speeds may result in recording or playback being interrupted.

- To prevent damage to the camera or memory card, be sure to turn the camera off before inserting or removing the memory card.

- Memory cards inserted in the camera may become hot. The number of shots possible may be reduced depending on the brand/model of memory card.

- If camera temperature rises, recording may end before maximum length or size is reached.

- XQD cards have slower data transfer rates than those of CFexpress cards. Therefore, if XQD cards are used when recording video with "ProRes 422 HQ 10-bit" selected for video file type, recording may end in a short period of time. In addition, if XQD cards are used when recording H.265 or H.264 video at high temperatures, recording may end before maximum length or size is reached even if camera temperature does not rise.

- Cards with a UHS Speed Class 3 (maximum data transfer rate of at least 250 MB/s) or better rating are recommended for recording and playback of 4K (3840×2160) 60p/50p  videos.

- Cards with a UHS Speed Class 3 (minimum data transfer rate of 30 MB/s) or better rating are recommended for recording of 4K (3840×2160), full-HD (1920×1080) 120p/100p, or full-HD slow-motion videos.

- Cards with an SD Speed Class 6 or better rating are recommended for recording of full-HD (1920×1080) 60p/50p/30p/25p/24p videos.

- When cards with slower data transfer rates are used, video recording may be interrupted.

- Sony has issued recalls for the following cards.

 1. 32-, 64-, and 128-MB SF-M-series SDXC and SDHC UHS-II memory cards

 2. SF-M TOUGH- and SF-G TOUGH-series SDXC and SDHC UHS-II memory cards
