Remote Control Accessories - D100 D-SLR

The Nikon D100 D-SLR camera can be fired remotely by using one of several Nikon products. Depending on the distance you need to be from the camera you can choose from a wired or wireless remote shutter release. Each of the below devices requires that the MB-D100 Battery Grip be attached to the D100 in order to use the MB-D100's 10-pin accessory connector.

Wired Releases

  • MC-20 Remote Cord - 31" - long exposure shooting, remote firing
  • MC-21 Extension Cord - 9'10" - Extension cord for MC-20
  • MC-22 Remote Cord - 3' - Blue, yellow and black terminals used to connect to other triggering devices
  • MC-23 Connecting Cord - 16" - Connects two D100's together for simultaneous operation
  • MC-25 Adapter Cord - 8" - Ten-pin to two-pin adapter. Allows D100 to be used with MW-2 radio control set, MT-2 intervalometer and ML-2 modulite control set.
  • MC-30 Remote Cord - 31" - Remote firing only

Wireless Remotes

  • ML-2 Modulite Remote Control Set - 328' range - Infrared remote control, (requires MC-25 adapter)
  • ML-3 Modulite Remote Control Set - 26' range - Infrared remote control

A D100 with the ML-3 Remote connected. The ML-3's receiver is
mounted on the hot shoe for convenience but can be mounted where
the user chooses if an accessory Speedlight will be used.

In addition to these electronic products a standard plunger-type cable release (Nikon's AR-3 Cable Release, for example) can be fitted to the D100's shutter release button; in this case the MB-D100 would not be required.

These and other Nikon accessories can be purchased through any Nikon Professional dealer.
