Notes
*1 When the lens power or the camera is turned off using the auto meter off function while stopping down the lens aperture the diaphragm blades fully open to the maximum aperture. This is not a malfunction.
*2 Stopping down the lens aperture activates AE-L (AE lock)
*3 Use of tilt/shift function may cause some vignetting (Vignetting is the darkening of the corners around the image.) and color shading. Also when the lens is mounted to a camera other than the D4 series and D3 series, tilt and/or the lens with care. Failure to do so may result in your fingers being nipped between the lens and the camera body, or the lens scratching the camera body.
*4 Avoid attaching/detaching the lens to/from the camera while using tilt, shift and/or revolving, and without locking each knob. Failure to do so may lead to you pinching your fingers between the lens and the camera body, or the lens scratching the camera body.
*5 When the lens power or camera is turned off using the auto meter off function while stopping down the lens aperture, the lens aperture remains at the stopped down setting. When the camera is turned on again or the camera shutter release button is lightly pressed, the diaphragm blades open once and then close. This is not a malfunction.
*6 When the camera is turned off using the auto meter off function while stopping down the lens aperture, lightly press the shutter release button to open and close the diaphragm blades before shooting. Failure to do so this may lead to incorrect exposure when the shutter release button is fully depressed.
*7 Use of tilt/shift function can cause some vignetting or slight color change (vignetting is the darkening of the corners around the image).

Notes
*1 This lens does not support D2 series,D1 series,D200,D100,D90,D80,D70,D70S,D60/D50,D40,D40X or D3000.
*2 Some combinations of shift and rotation may not be possible due to interference between the lens and camera body.
*3 Use of shift and/or tilt functions may result in vignetting. In extremely rare cases, color shading may occur.
*4 Attempting to mount the lens on a camera with the lens shifted, tilted, or rotated may result in pinching of, or injury to, the user's fingers. Before mounting the lens on a camera, rotate the shift and tilt knobs to center the scales, and then lock the tilt by sliding the tilt lock switch to the LOCK position.
